Santa beaten senseless by Christmas shoppers
A department store Santa on his way home for the night was beaten up by Christmas shoppers in Germany earlier this week. According to police reports, two men, allegedly stressed out after a full day's Christmas shopping, lost their patience when asked to "tell Santa what they want for Christmas". The men grabbed Santa's sack of presents and beat him over the head with it, breaking his fingers as he tried to protect himself. (So much for that Christmas spirit we've all been hearing about!) Mayor asks tourists to "Stop stealing our Fucking signs"
The mayor of the unusually named Austrian town called 'Fucking' has appealed to British tourists to stop stealing their road signs. Siegfried Hauppl told reporters that the small town has always attracted a lot of attention from European tourists who like to drive up from nearby Salzburg in order to pose for snapshots in front of the amusing village signs. A car wash called Scrubbers was reprimanded last week by advertising watchdogs in Britain for its new advertising campaign featuring billboards that boast: "the best hand-job in town". Russian bakery's nude ad campaign states "our buns are best"
Meanwhile in Russia, a bakery drastically improved its sales recently after it managed to persuade female staff to strip naked for an nude advertising campaign that used the slogan "Our buns are best. Dutch "Serial Kisser" strikes again
Dutch police are hunting for a "serial kisser" who has attacked several women at underground stations in Amsterdam recently. Apparently, the man sneaks up on his victims from behind and then taps them gently on the shoulder. Women's groups were up in arms this week over a 'sexist' beer commercial for Regional Beer that was recently released in Venezuela. The humorous commercial, aired on local TV stations this week, jokingly asks viewers: "What is the difference between a wife and a lover?" Austrian resort offer guests chance to swim in beer pool
An Austrian holiday resort is offering its guests a rather usual attraction - the chance to swim in a pool containing 42,000 pints of beer. The Starkenber Beer Myth resort located in Austria's Tyrol region has filled seven swimming pools with a local beer and claims that the pools heal various skin diseases.
